The Full Story

About

I grew up playing rugby and fell into the gym as a byproduct of the want to get bigger and stronger for the sport. I played rugby on and off for the next 16 years along with continuing to pursue strength sports such as powerlifting and strongman.

Ultimately life came to a head and at 25 I found myself moving back in with parents, broke, jobless, obese and miserable. Strangely it was here, I re-entered the fitness industry and began to sort myself out.

Despite the happy facade I portrayed I felt lost, broken and like I was missing something. Forever in the cycle of drinking my problems away at the weekend, suffer through the week and hit repeat.

Fast forward another year and I found myself at the peak of Pen Y Fan stunned by how alive I felt, as I completed my first trail race having never run more that 5km beforehand. The first step to overcoming my demons and also the literal first step into my running journey. Since then I have run multiple half marathons, 2 full marathons and 9 ultramarathons including a 100 miler.

Running has helped me, more than just the positive effect it has had on my fitness. It has helped me be kinder to myself, work through hard times and build a mind and body that will endure the undulating nature of life. It has allowed me to build a growth mindset and has given me confidence in who I am and what I am capable of.

I truly believe it is physical, mental and spiritual.

It is because of this profound effect that I want to help as many people as I can experience running in the same way I have.

Allow them to run further, faster and stronger than ever before. Achieve things they thought were impossible. Feel alive and appreciate the endless possibilities life can create
